About Me

My name is Violet, and my passion is using technology to improve people's lives and their relationship with each other and the world.From a young age I have been fascinated in learning how the world works, from studying the fundamental physics of the world to understanding how to create software to accomplish various tasks.As I have gotten older, I have found myself particularly concerned with ensuring the long term survival of humanity in the face of the climate crisis and other issues facing us. While I do not believe technology is the solution, it certainly has an important role to play and must be a part of whatever solutions we arrive at.Ultimately, my goal in life is to do something which improves the lives of people and pushes humanity forward in some small way.My passions of course extend beyond this. I also find great value in producing media such as video games which serves to inspire and empower people.In my free time, I enjoy making detailed gameplay videos of narrative-driven games as well as discussing the themes presented and the impacts they have on us as individuals and as a society.I also spend a lot of time playing Final Fantasy XIV and have recently begun savage raiding. Additionally, I maintain a small home garden which I try to support with sustainable practices such as vermicomposting.
